We had a pediatrician's appointment, last week Thursday, just his normal one month checkup. After measuring his head, the nurse practitioner was a little concerned in the amount of growth of his head. It fell within normal bounds, but the size jumped up about 5cm in circumference since 3 weeks earlier.
Yesterday we went to Women and Children's hospital in Buffalo for a head sonogram. They do a sonogram of his brain using his soft spot (and fortunately did NOT have to cut his hair). What they were concerned about was hydrocephalus, or an excessive amount of fluid in the brain's ventricles. The radiologist all but ruled this out. So all is well!
